Two months after being banned from basketball, Heo Jae is back in action.
Heo Jae said at the production announcement of TV Chosun’s entertainment program ‘Chosun Sports Association’ on Thursday, “I took over the basketball department. I will work hard this year and show something. I will bury myself next to Jeon Hyun-moo. 토토 I’m his (Jeon Hyun-moo’s) murine,” adding, “I was offered a lot of commentary jobs after I retired, but I didn’t think I could do it because my speech was slow and my pronunciation wasn’t correct.” “I went to the Asian Games a lot as a player and as a coach, but I think I’ll show a different side this time. I joined the program with my younger siblings to commentate in an entertaining way and to showcase Korea in Hangzhou.”
The KOC will broadcast the Hangzhou Asian Games, which kick off in September, and conduct interviews with athletes. Heo Jae, Kim Byung-heon, and Lee Ik-soo will commentate, while MCs Jeon Hyun-moo and Jo Jung-seok will host. Heo Jae effectively retired from basketball in June, with many saying it was not appropriate for him to appear on the show. Day One, led by Heo, acquired the Orion in August last year, but the organization was plagued by financial difficulties, including non-payment of KBL membership fees and non-payment of the purchase price for the Goyang Orion. The Korean Basketball League (KBL) eventually expelled Day One and disciplined Heo, who was its president, for not registering as a member.
Heo now broadcasts the games of his second son, basketball player Heo Hoon, himself. “At the Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, five years ago, both Heo Woong and Heo Hoon participated. This time, only my second son Heo Hoon is going,” he said, “I will praise him for doing well and tell him exactly what he did wrong. We will broadcast objectively.”
The first broadcast was at 10 p.m. that day.
