Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) won the Outstanding Employer Award at the Singapore Tourism Awards 2023.
This comes as the RWS highlights the next stage of growth for expansion plans and Singapore continues its path to post-pandemic economic recovery.
Lis Shi Ruh, chief human resources officer at RWS, said. “This award is a sign of recognition for our strategic approach to inspiring and nurturing our team members as we plan our way to the next stage of growth.
“We have stepped up our efforts to address staff’s lack of skills needs and advance the technology set transition as travel restrictions ease and the tourism industry recovers.”
RWS employees received about 300,000 hours of training, up more than 50% from 2021.
This integrated resort works closely with business partners, including Workforce Singapore and the Singapore Hotel Association, to provide a range of initiatives to change jobs and redesign programs.
In addition, RWS launched the Management Association Program (MAP), a two-year program to help motivated individuals develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills through training and exposure to various work areas.
RWS also plans to hold a recruitment event at the Resorts World Convention Center on May 24, 2023, in collaboration with the Employment Employment Possibilities Institute.
Genting Singapore recently reported a 54% increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2023.
Genting Singapore’s financial report details many of the company’s future plans for Resort World Sentosa, one of its major ongoing projects.
