Choi Hyung-woo of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) has become the first player in the KBO to reach the milestone of 1,500 career RBIs. With one out, Choi Hyung-woo comes to the plate. Hanwha starter Han Seung-ju’s first-pitch fastball spins Choi Hyung-woo’s bat, and the straight hit sails over the center field fence. A two-run shot for Choi. Choi becomes the first player 토토 in the KBO to reach 1,500 career RBIs, passing Doosan manager Lee Seung-yeop as the league’s all-time RBI leader. Choi, who made his debut as a catcher in 2002, didn’t record his first first-team hit until six years later in 2008, and was named Rookie of the Year later that year. At 40 years old, Choi is no stranger to the game, but this season he continues to be the go-to guy at the top of the order for KIA. “I’ve been running a lot, and I’ve been running for 16 seasons with the mindset that I don’t care if I’m sick, I want to play as much as possible in the ballpark, and I think that’s why I have such a good record.” KIA started the three-game series on a high note, defeating Hanwha with home runs from Choi Hyung-woo, Socrates, and Byun Woo-hyuk. Tied 1-1 in the top of the 10th inning. SSG’s Choi Jung-jeong, who came to bat with the bases loaded, hit his 15th home run of the season off Doosan’s Lee Young-ha. Kiwoom scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to upset Samsung and extend their winning streak to three games.
