Baseball’s SSG Landers snapped a two-game losing streak by sacrificing the Kiwoom Heroes.
SSG hit four home runs in a 9-3 victory over Kiwoom in the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on Monday.
SSG, which had dropped to sixth place in the standings after losing its last two games in a row, began its bid to reclaim fifth place.
Last-place Kiwoom has lost six straight games.
The SSG bats came out on fire in the first inning.
A leadoff double by Choi Ji-hoon, a walk to Choo Shin-soo, and a hit-by-pitch to Choi Jung loaded the bases with no outs, and Han Yoo-seom’s RBI double and Park Sung-han’s sacrifice fly easily scored three runs.
In the second inning, Choo Shin-soo hit an RBI single with the bases loaded to make it 4-0.
SSG then scored five more runs on four home runs to put the game out of reach.
Park Sung-ki led off the third inning with his sixth home run of the season, followed by Han Yoo-seom’s 15th home run of the season in the fifth inning.
In the sixth inning, Choi Jung-jeong hit his 24th home run of the season and Han Yoo-seom hit his 16th home run of the season.
Kiwoom, which had been held hitless by SSG starter Drew Anderson until the fifth inning, loaded the bases with two outs in the sixth after a walk by Kim Tae-jin and a single by Lee Yong-kyu, but Lee hit his eighth three-run homer of the season.
Anderson, who started for SSG, allowed three runs on two hits (one home run) and two walks with 11 strikeouts in six innings to improve to 6-1 on the season. 파워볼사이트 추천
