The Kiwoom Heroes ended their three-game weekend series with a win.
Kiwoom won 7-3 against the Hanwha Eagles on Nov. 11 at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon. Kiwoom finished the three-game series in Daejeon with two straight wins. They won their 48th game of the season (60 wins). Hanwha lost for the second straight time. Their season record is now 48 wins, 2 draws, and 57 losses.
Kiwoom’s starting lineup was Lee Ju-hyung (center field), Lim Byung-wook (right field), Song Sung-moon (second base), Choi Joo-hwan (first base), Ko Young-woo (third base), Won Sung-joon (designated hitter), Kim Gun-hee (catcher), Lee Seung-won (shortstop), and Park Joo-hong (left field).
Hanwha started Jonathan Peraza (left fielder), Kim In-hwan (first baseman), Kim Tae-yeon (right fielder), Noh Si-hwan (third baseman), Chae Eun-sung (designated hitter), Ahn Chi-hong (second baseman), Hwang Young-mook (shortstop), Lee Jae-won (catcher), and Jang Jin-hyeok (center fielder).
Kiwoom struck first in the top of the first inning.
Two batters later, Song Sung-moon and Choi Ju-hwan singled to put runners on first and third. After Ko Young-woo singled to lead off the inning, Kiwoom extended its lead with a single by Won Sung-joon. Kim Gun-hee followed with an RBI double to make it 3-0.
In the bottom of the second inning, Kiwoom added another run. After Park Joo-hong and Lim Byung-wook singled to put runners on first and third, Kiwoom extended the lead to 6-0 with a three-run home run by Song Sung-moon. It was Song’s 14th home run of the season. It was Song’s 82nd RBI, surpassing his previous career high of 13 home runs and 79 RBI set in 2022.
In the top of the third, Kiwoom extended its lead to 7-0 on a solo home run by Won Sung-joon.

Young-min earned his seventh quality start of the season (six or more innings pitched and three or fewer earned runs allowed) and his eighth win of the season (six starts). He was followed by Kim Dong-wook (two scoreless innings) and Joo Seung-woo (one run in one inning) to preserve the win.
For Hanwha, Jaime Barria was dominated. He gave up seven runs on nine hits (two home runs) in four innings. The bullpen held up well. Han Seung-ju pitched two scoreless innings, followed by Kim Kyu-yeon (one scoreless inning), Lee Sang-gyu (one scoreless inning), and Jang Ji-soo (one scoreless inning).
