The SSG Landers of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) have snapped a three-game losing streak with a hot bat.
SSG snapped a three-game losing streak with an 11-9 walk-off victory over the Doosan Bears in the 2024 Shinhan Bank SOL Bank KBO League at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on Wednesday. The victory averted a three-game weekend sweep.

SSG got on the board in the bottom of the second when leadoff hitter Han Yoo-seom walked. Park Sung-seong struck out, but SSG quickly took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the inning as Kim Min-sik singled, Ha Jae-hoon doubled, Jeon Eui-san singled, Choi Ji-hoon singled, Jung Jun-jae singled, and Choi Jung doubled.
Doosan got one run back in the top of the third inning when Jared hit a solo home run. SSG answered right back in the bottom of the inning with a leadoff solo home run by Han Yoo-seom. After a double by Park Sung-seong and a sacrifice bunt by Kim Min-sik, Ha Jae-hoon hit a two-run homer to center field and Choi Ji-hoon followed with a solo shot after Jeon Eui-san’s grounder to shortstop. The score grew to 9-4.
After giving up back-to-back big runs in the second and third innings,
Doosan put runners on first and second in the top of the fourth inning with a leadoff single by Kim Jae-hwan and a walk to Heo Kyung-min. Kim Ki-yeon then hit a grounder to shortstop, but Jeon Min-jae hit an RBI single to center field to tie the game again. In the fifth, leadoff hitter Kang Seung-ho drew a walk and Jared singled to put runners on first and third with no outs. However, they failed to score as Yang Ji, Yang Seok-hwan, and Kim Jae-hwan all struck out.
Doosan got a leadoff single from Kim Ki-yeon in the top of the sixth inning. Jeon Min-jae flied out to right field, but Jung Soo-bin and Kang Seung-ho drew back-to-back walks to load the bases. SSG replaced Jang Ji-hoon with Han Hoo-sol, who got Jared to fly out to third base to end the threat.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Choi Ji-hoon drew a walk. Jung Jun-jae then laid down a bunt, and when pitcher Kwon Hwi threw a wild pitch, Choi rushed home. Jung Jun-jae also stole second, putting runners on first and second. Following Choi’s walk, Heredia followed with an RBI single to make it 11-5.
Doosan got on the board in the top of the eighth when leadoff hitter Heo Kyung-min doubled and moved to third on a wild pitch.
Kim Ki-yeon struck out, but Jeon Min-jae drove in the tying run with an infield single and advanced to second on an error by the shortstop. Jung Soo-bin singled to put runners on first and second, and SSG replaced Baek Seung-gun with Noh Kyung-eun. However, Kang Seung-ho hit a three-run home run off Noh Kyung-eun to cut the deficit to 9-11. Jared and Yang Seok-hwan followed with singles to put runners on first and second, but Kim Jae-hwan was thrown out at the plate in left field to end the threat.
In the top of the ninth inning, Doosan had one last chance when leadoff hitter Heo Kyung-min reached on a throwing error by the shortstop and advanced to second on a wild pitch. However, Kim Ki-yeon struck out and Jeon Min-jae was caught on a fly ball to right field. Jung Soo-bin was also retired on a fly ball to right field to end the long game.
