Hearing-impaired national team pledges to do well at the Erzurum Winter Games finals ceremony

The Korean athletes participating in the 2023 Erzurum Winter Deaflympics (Olympic Games for the Deaf)
pledged to do well at the finals ceremony.
The athletes expressed their determination to do their best in the competition at the ceremony held at the Samsung Pavilion of the Icheon Athletes’ Village of the Korean Paralympic Games in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do on the 22nd.
Team leader Woo Soo-min said in his departure address,

Korea will send a team of 52 players to this tournament, including 18 players, 13 game officials, and 21 headquarters officials.
National team will compete in four sports, including curling, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding,
and aim to win a silver medal in the women’s curling team event.
The competition opens on March 2 and will be held in Turkye Erzurum for 11 days until the 12th,
with over 1,000 athletes from 25 countries competing for 37 gold medals.
The Deaflympics is the largest international all-around competition for hearing-impaired athletes and,
like the Olympics, is held every four years.
This competition was scheduled to be held in 2023, but was postponed by a year due to circumstances at the venue.
